Fall Ball

SVLL offers Fall Ball to players beginning at League Age 8.   The Fall League will be hosted by SVLL but is open to nearby leagues.   Fall Ball gets underway in early September and runs through October. Teams typically play games against our own league and sometimes against other leagues on Sundays.  Teams will also have 1-2 optional practices during the week.

The Fall Ball season is instructional in nature with emphasis on developing fundamentals and playing a variety of positions. Many of our Fall Ball players participate in other sports at the same time (soccer, football, etc.).
Baseball Divisions of Play

- League Ages 8 to 10
- League Ages 10 to 12

League Age 10 players may select which division to play in according to the desired level of competitiveness.  If registration numbers are really high, then there is the possibility of segmenting the players into three age groups.  To determine your child's league age and corresponding division for registration, reference the age / division level table.

Softball Divisions of Play

- League Ages 8 to 11
- This is the premier Fall Ball Division that will compete against Kirkland and possibly Bellevue
- Kirkland runs an annual Fall Ball Program targeted at League Ages 8 to 11

For more information on the Fall Ball season or to volunteer to help coordinate Fall Ball, please contact us at [email protected]. The league needs several volunteers – managers and coaches, primarily -- to help make this program a success.

What activities other than coaching can parents do to help?

SVLL is dependent on parent volunteers! There is always a need for volunteers to assist with field prep, umpiring, score keeping, dugout cleanup, etc. All of these jobs are necessary to run a successful season and managers cannot do it alone. Please jump in and take an active role in your child's season!

My child is younger than league age 8? Are there any other options for baseball during the summer/fall time frame?

SVLL tested allowing some 7's to play in the 8 to 10 Division last season.  This impacted the competitiveness of the Division.   League Age 7 Players playing against League Age 10 players was a Challenge.  This season the board decided to keep the age cutoff at League Age 8.
