Information

Snoqualmie Valley Little League - Farm League

Snoqualmie Valley Little League offers three levels of the Farm League Divisions for its youngest players. Level placement is based on age and can be changed to accommodate a player's ability and comfort level. All Farm League teams are co-ed and players do not make the split into baseball and softball until they enter the Upper Divisions starting with the Double-A level. The Farm League season begins in mid-April and runs through mid-June.

The primary goals of the Farm League Division are to provide a solid foundation in fundamentals and most of all to have fun. In order to achieve this goal, we are in need of enthusiastic coaches and volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please register under coaches/managers on the registration page. Upon registration please note the age group you wish to coach and your child's name.

An information session was held for parents on 4/3/2019. In case you missed it, here are parents' meeting slides.

League Age

Little League uses what is called "league age" to determine a player's recommended division and level. Their school grade or other factors are not considered when placing players in the recommended division. **Please note, there are different league age charts for boys and girls.

Farm League Division Levels

Tee Ball is the introductory level for boys and girls playing Little League for the first time and is designed for kids that are league age 5. Tee Ball games last two innings (approximately 45 minutes). All players bat each inning and all kids play on defense. There are no outs in Tee Ball and no score is kept.

Sluggers is for boys and girls that are league age 6. Sluggers is a coach pitch level and a tee will be utilized for those that need extra help to hit the ball into play. There are no strikeouts in this level but defensive outs can be made. All players bat each inning and play defense. Games are four innings in length or a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes. No score is kept at the Sluggers level.

Single-A is the level after Sluggers and is for boys and girls that are league age 7. Single-A is a coach pitch level and players can strikeout. Every player bats each inning and up to 10 players can play on defense. Games are six innings in length or a maximum of 1 hour and 45 minutes. No score is kept at the Single-A level.

Rules

The most up-to-date rules for the various Farm League division are linked below:

Equipment

SVLL provides hats and jerseys for each player. Families need to provide black baseball pants, black baseball socks, cleats and mitt. SVLL will provide all other equipment, including bats, batting helmets and balls. If your player would like to use personal equipment, it must meet Little League requirements and be labeled with his/her name.

Tee Ball players will each receive a 5-gallon buck at the start of the season that will be used to create bench seating while playing on the Torguson soccer fields.

Farm League Regular Season

The regular season starts in mid-April and wraps up play by mid-June. The season will conclude before the end of the school year.

There are no games played during Spring Break or Memorial Day weekend.

Spring Training and Picture Day

Farm League holds a "Spring Training" event to welcome players to the league and run players and coaches through a variety of stations to learn the various fundamentals of baseball like hitting, throwing, fielding and base running. "Spring Training" will take place at the Torguson Complex

Team and individual pictures will also be taken throughout the day at North Bend Elementary School (stay tuned for your team's assigned time). Teams can access the photo session area from NBE's campus (walk to the right to the covered playground area) or by passing through the fence in right field of Torguson field #4. NBE is a great overflow parking area too if Torguson is full.
