Skills Assessments

Skills Assessments for 2026 Spring Season:

- Date:  Sunday, February 1
- Location:  MSHS
- Detailed Times for Age Groups:  Listed Below

About the Skills Assessment

All Snoqualmie Valley Little League players registered for Upper Division baseball and softball are required to attend the mandatory Skills Assessment.  The assessment is not a try-out as there are no "cuts" in Little League. Instead, these assessments assist our managers in creating balanced and competitive teams during the player draft.

Farm League players from Single-A that are requesting to Play Up to AA are required to attend assessments for the opportunity to Play Up.

Players that will play Tee Ball or Single-A baseball or Softball will not attend assessments.

There is no Skills Assessment for baseball players at the Intermediate level and above or softball players at Juniors or above.

Check Your Players League Age

What to Bring

What to Expect

Players will work through severral stations performing different drills. The stations include:

  • Timed run
  • Fielding, catching and throwing
  • Hitting
  • Pitching

Parents are encouraged to wait for players being evaluated rather than leaving and coming back. Depending on when the player is evaluated, they could be through the process before the exact end time.  Please note that parents will not be allowed inside the assessment area.

Please direct any questions about the Skills Assessment to [email protected] (Baseball) or [email protected] (Softball).

If your player is unable to make the Skills Assessment at the designated time, you must notify the league Player Agent in advance. A score will be given to your child based on Manager/Coach experience from previous years or parent assessment and these players will still be drafted as normal.

After Registration Closes, players are wait-listed and not guaranteed a spot on a team.
