About the Skills Assessment
All Snoqualmie Valley Little League players registered for Upper Division baseball and softball are required to attend the mandatory Skills Assessment on the date and location above. The assessment is not a try-out as there are no "cuts" in Little League. Instead, these assessments assist our managers in creating balanced and competitive teams during the player draft.*
Players petitioning to "play up" or "play down" to a different level (Double-A, Triple-A, Coast, Majors) within the Upper Division will attend the assessment for their age group.
Unsure which division your child is in? Check out the age determination table to determine league age and division level. There will not be a Skills Assessment for players in the Farm League Division (Tee Ball, Sluggers and Single-A).

What to Bring
Please bring a glove and have your child wear tennis shoes. Bats and helmets will be provided on-site but personal gear is allowed too. Every year several kids and their gear get separated-please have their names on items, especially gloves.
What to Expect
Players will be divided into several groups based on arrival time and will rotate through stations performing different drills. The stations include:
- Athleticism/Speed/Agility (timed shuttle run)
- Fielding, catching and throwing
- Hitting
Parents are encouraged to wait for players being evaluated rather than leaving and coming back. Depending on when the player is evaluated, they could be through the process before the exact end time. Please note that parents will not be allowed inside the assessment area.
Please direct any questions about the Skills Assessment to [email protected] (Baseball) or [email protected] (Softball).
* If your player is unable to make the Skills Assessment at the designated time, you must notify the league Player Agent in advance. A score will be given to your child based on Manager/Coach experience from previous years and these players will still be drafted as normal.
After Registration Closes, players are wait-listed and not guaranteed a spot on a team. There is also a $75 late registration fee.
