  • Location: New Location this Year -Mount Si High School (Baseball and Softball fields)

The full schedule with specific times is listed below.

About the Skills Assessment

All Snoqualmie Valley Little League players registered for Upper Division baseball and softball are required to attend the mandatory Skills Assessment.  The assessment is not a try-out as there are no "cuts" in Little League. Instead, these assessments assist our managers in creating balanced and competitive teams during the player draft.

Players petitioning to "play up" or "play down" to a different level (Double-A, Triple-A, Coast, Majors) within the Upper Division will attend the skills assessment for their age group.

Farm League players from Single-A that are requesting to Play Up to Double-A should attend the Skills Assessments for League Age 8.

Check Your Players League Age

Unsure what your players League Age is, please use the Little League Age Determination Tool.  There will not be a Skills Assessment for players in the Farm League Division (Tee Ball, Sluggers and Single-A).

Schedule

  • Please arrive 20 minutes early for your Assessment Session
  • Players will stay for the entire duration of their assessment time

There is no Skills Assessment for baseball players at the Intermediate level and above or softball players at Juniors or above

For questions, please contact [email protected] or [email protected]

What to Bring

Please bring a glove and have your child wear tennis shoes. Bats and helmets will be provided on-site but personal gear is allowed too. Every year several kids and their gear get separated-please have their names on items, especially gloves.

What to Expect

Players will work through severral stations performing different drills. The stations include:

  • Timed run
  • Fielding, catching and throwing
  • Hitting
  • Pitching

Parents are encouraged to wait for players being evaluated rather than leaving and coming back. Depending on when the player is evaluated, they could be through the process before the exact end time.  Please note that parents will not be allowed inside the assessment area.

Please direct any questions about the Skills Assessment to [email protected] (Baseball) or [email protected] (Softball).

If your player is unable to make the Skills Assessment at the designated time, you must notify the league Player Agent in advance. A score will be given to your child based on Manager/Coach experience from previous years or parent assessment and these players will still be drafted as normal.

After Registration Closes, players are wait-listed and not guaranteed a spot on a team.
