2017 Players of the Week

SVLL will select a Baseball and Softball Player of the Week each week throughout the season. Winners will receive a certificate and a $10 gift card to DICK'S Sporting Goods.

Co-Baseball Players of the Week (May 22-29)

Majors players Owen Watters and Isaac Kreidel-Reimer have been named the SVLL Co-Baseball Players of the Week for May 22-29. Both players faced off in a pitcher's duel that found the Cubs on top, 1-0. Owen threw a complete game, 4 hitter and struck out 10 for the Giants. Isaac threw a complete game, 3 hitter and struck out 14 to get the win for the Cubs. The Cubs forced a run across in the top of the 6th inning and the Giants threatened in the bottom half of the inning, getting a player to third base. Isaac induced two fly ball outs to end the game and secure the Cubs victory. Congratulations, Owen and Isaac!

Co-Baseball Players of the Week (May 15-21)

Majors players Kyle Downing and Luke Triou have been named the SVLL Co-Baseball Players of the Week for May 15-21. Kyle led the Giants with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate in a 13-1 win over the SV Nationals, including a double and 2 RBIs. He also helped the Giants on defense, tossing three shutout innings and striking out six. Kyle helped his team in relief against the Falls Mariners as well- striking out the side. Luke was hot at the plate for the Giants too, going 3-for-6, including a three-run home run in the win over the Nationals. Congratulations, Kyle and Luke!

Softball Player of the Week (May 8-14)

Juniors player, Vera Harrison, has been selected as the SVLL Softball Player of the Week (May 8-14) after helping the Bandits to a 2-1 record, including a pair of wins over the sister SVLL Juniors team. Vera went 9-for-9 from the plate with two doubles, five runs scored and 10 RBIs. She also recorded a five-inning win from the circle with five strikeouts, while holding the opponent to four hits and 1 earned run. Congratulations, Vera!

Baseball Player of the Week (May 8-14)

Majors player, Mason Martinell, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (May 8-14) after a standout performance for the Nationals. Mason led the team to a 3-1 record with a .857 average (6-for-7), including a double and three RBIs. He drew six walks and collected seven stolen bases, including a steal of home in a 2-1 victory over the Falls Nationals. Mason also contributed behind the plate, catching in all four games and throwing out six would be base stealers! Congratulations, Mason!

Co-Baseball Players of the Week (May 1-7)

Majors player, Blake Forrest, and AAA player, Coleman Wasnock, have been named SVLL Co-Baseball Players of the Week (May 1-7). This is the second POTW award for Blake and the first for Coleman.

Blake led the Nationals in a pair of games, going 4-for-7 at the plate with a triple, home run and 4 RBIs. He also helped his team on the mound, striking out 12 batters in 4 2/3 innings to defeat the SV Cubs, 12-5.

Coleman led the Muckdogs pitching staff with 11 strikeouts in 4 innings. He was also strong at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, 3 walks, 4 runs scored and 2 RBIs.

Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 24-30)

AAA player, Colton Slife, has been named the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 24-30). Colton led the Muckdogs to a 14-5 victory over the Falls River Cats with a 2-for-2 performance at the plate, including a home run. He drove in three runs, scored three runs and reached base twice more with a walk and hit-by-pitch. Colton also pitched a 1-2-3 inning in relief, striking out the side to secure the win. Congratulations, Colton!

Softball Player of the Week (Apr. 17-23)

Snoqualmie Valley Little League has selected Izzey Milstein as the Softball Player of the Week (April 17-23). Izzey led the AAA Black Magic in three games with a 7-for-9 performance at the plate, including three RBIs, five runs scored and eight stolen bases. Izzey also helped her team on defense, striking out six in four innings of work in the circle and contributing to three additional put outs as the Black Magic picked up two wins. Congratulations, Izzey!

Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 3-9)

Majors player, Blake Forrest, has been named the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 3-9). Blake led the Washington Nationals with a standout performance against the SVN Indians, striking out 10 batters in 5 1/3 innings of work.

Softball Player of the Week (Mar. 27-Apr. 2)


Mia Spaziano was named the SVLL Softball Player of the Week after a standout performance for the Bandits Juniors team against the Kirkland National Hawks and Bellevue Scarlett Bandits. Mia went 4-for-5 from the plate with a double, stolen base, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Baseball Player of the Week (Mar. 27-Apr. 2)

Gavin Yost was named the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Majors Giants to a 4-0 victory over the SV Rockies. Gavin was strong from the plate, hitting 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. From the mound, Yost tossed three shutout innings and struck out five batters en route to the victory.

 
2016 Players of the Week

Baseball Player of the Week (May 6-12)

AAA player, Owen Krasowski, has been named the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (June 6-12). Owen led the Express to a 3-1 record to send the team to the Valley Championship semifinal. He went 8-for 11 at the plate, blasting two doubles and driving in 13 runs. Owen was also clutch on the mound, striking out 15 batters over six innings, including an impressive 8 K's in 3.2 innings against the SV Dragons in the quarterfinals.

The Express will face the Falls Cardinals in the semifinal tomorrow at Centennial field 1 at 6 p.m.

Baseball Player of the Week (May 30-June 5)

AA player, Nicholas Rollins, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (May 30-June 5). Nicholas led the Storm to a pair of wins to open the SVLL AA Championship Tournament. He went 8-for-8 at the plate with three doubles to score five runs and collect 4 RBI. Nicholas also helped the Storm on the mound, pitching two innings and allowing just one run.

Co-SVLL Baseball Players of the Week (May 23-29)

Majors player, Hayden Weaver, and AAA player, Scott Corder, have been named the Co-SVLL Baseball Players of the Week (May 23-29).

Hayden picked up his third Player of the Week honor this season after tossing a no-hitter against the Falls Cubs to lead the Reds to the 3-0 shutout win. Hayden faced the minimum 18 batters and recorded 11 strikeouts. He also went 2-for-5 from the plate in two games with two doubles and three RBI.

Scott led the Rubber Ducks to a pair of wins, closing out both games on the mound and blasting a pair of home runs vs. the Dragons.

Baseball Player of the Week (May 16-22)

Majors player, Ryan Llewellyn, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (May 16-22). Ryan had a standout performance for the Dodgers against the SV Reds, going 3-for-3 with two triples and six RBIs. Ryan also closed out the game in the sixth inning, giving up no hits and striking out two as the Dodgers picked up the 12-5 victory.

Softball Player of the Week (May 16-22)

Majors player, Lexie Yingst, has been named the SVLL Softball Player of the Week (May 16-22). Lexie led the Bandits to the semifinal of the Debbie Lee Tournament over the weekend with 10 strikeouts in 21 innings of work. She allowed just four earned runs to earn two wins. Lexie also went 4-for-5 at the plate, collecting 4 RBIs, 3 runs and 7 stolen bases. This is the second Player of the Week honor for Lexie this season.

Honorable Mention: Sophie Hamby (Majors Bandits) used clutch hitting to help the Bandits advance to the tournament semifinal. In the last inning, with two outs and two strikes, Sophie hit a line drive single to right field to score the game winning run.

Softball Player of the Week (May 9-15)

Majors player, Ava Houseworth, has been selected as the SVLL Softball Player of the Week (May-9-15). Ava led the Bandits with an outstanding performance in the circle, pitching four innings of relief in games vs. Falls and Issaquah. She allowed no runs, while holding teams to just three hits and striking out four. Ava earned the win against the Issaquah Cougars.

Baseball Player of the Week (May 9-15)

Majors player, Kamron Korrell, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (May 9-15) after leading the Dodgers to a 7-2 win over the SV Angles. Kamron put in a solid five innings of work on the mound, striking out 6 batters and holding the opponent to just four hits and two runs. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, triple and RBI. Kamron raised his season batting average to .300 while dropping his ERA to an impressive team-low 3.64.

Honorable Mention: Jason Strange (AA Emeralds)

Softball Player of the Week (May 2-8)

Coast player, Peyton McKenzie, has been named the SVLL Softball Player of the Week (May 2-8). Peyton led the Flame at the plate in a pair of games, going 2-for-4 with a triple and 4 RBI. She also walked three times, stole two bases and scored 4 runs. Peyton had solid pitching performances in both games. She struck out 4 batters in two innings of work on Friday and had assists in the other two outs. Manager, Matthew Rourke, says, "Peyton's hard work is paying off!"

Baseball Player of the Week (May 2-8)

Coast player, Riley Hyde, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (May 2-8) after leading the Nationals to a pair of wins. Riley went 2-for-3 with two home runs, including a grand slam, against the SV Royals. He had six RBIs in the game en route to the 8-5 victory. He also had a solid performance against the SV Rockies, striking out five batters in two innings to earn the save as the team picked up the 9-6 win.

Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 25-May 1)

AAA player, Andrew Yurkanin, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 25-May 1). Andrew led the Timber Rattlers to a pair of victories going 3-for-6 with 2 doubles, a triple, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored. He finished the week with a 1.000 slugging percentage. Andrew scored the walk-off winning run against the Muckdogs, scoring from second base on a ground out to first. He followed up that performance with clutch pitching against the Dragons. Andrew was called in to pitch in the last inning with a one run lead with two outs and two runners in scoring position. He struck out the final batter of the game to secure the Timber Rattler victory and earn the save.

Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 18-24)

Majors player, Hayden Weaver, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (April 18-24) for the second time this month. Hayden led the Cincinnati Reds to victory over the SV Dodgers on Saturday, pitching a no-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts. Hayden went 3-for-4 in two games this week with a home run and 3 RBI.

Softball Player of the Week (Apr. 18-24)

Coast player, Fiona Harrison, has been named the SVLL Softball Player of the Week (April 18-24) after a standout performance against Sammamish. Fiona led the Lightning Strikers in the circle, striking out 7 in 3 innings of work. She also provided a punch at the plate, blasting a two-run home run and collecting 3 RBI on the day.

Baseball Player of the Week (Apr. 11-17)

AAA players, Jacob Hayes (left) and Micah Jayne (right), were named the Co-SVLL Baseball Players of the Week (Apr. 11-17). The duo led the Express pitching staff with eight consecutive strikeouts en route to the 11-3 victory over the Muckdogs. Jacob struck out 6 batters in 2 1/3 innings, while Micah struck out 4 in 1 2/3 innings. In an 11-8 win over the Dragons, the pair worked together to catch a runner attempting to steal third base with Micah making the throw and Jacob applying the tag. The Express are now 3-1 on the season and sit in third place in the Valley standings.

Softball Player of the Week (Apr. 11-17)

Majors player, Lexie Yingst, was named SVLL Softball Player of the Week (Apr. 11-17) after leading the Bandits with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate, including a grand slam. Lexie drove in 5 runs and was solid in defense, throwing out three base runners from third base.

Honorable Mention: Grace Ethington (Majors - Bandits), Mia Spaziano (Majors - Bandits)

Baseball Player of the Week (Mar. 28 - Apr. 3)

Majors player, Hayden Weaver, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week (Mar. 28 - Apr. 3). Hayden pitched a complete game for the Reds against the SVLL Angels en route to the 10-1 victory. He faced 21 batters and struck of 17. Hayden also was effective at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, triple and 4 RBI.

Honorable Mention: Nicholas Rollins (AA - Storm) and Coleman Wasnock (AA - Storm).

Softball Player of the Week (Mar. 21-27)

Coast player, Delilah Huebner, has been named the SVLL Softball Player of the Week after leading the Flame to an 18-18 tie against the Falls Diamonds in the team's season opener. Delilah provided the Flame with a spark at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, three runs and five RBI. She also collected six stolen bases. In addition to her standout offensive performance, Delilah put in a solid six innings behind the plate- making her first career catching debut.

Honorable Mention: Katie Pankey (Coast - Flame), Mia Spaziano (Majors - Bandits), Lexie Yingst (Majors - Bandits), Ginger Yotz (Majors - Bandits).

 
2015 Players of the Week

2015 Players of the Week

Week 1

Coast player, Gavin Yost, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after helping the Oakland A's to an 11-9 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Gavin was dominate on the mound, allowing no hits and striking out five in two innings of work. He also contributed at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a home run.

Coast player, Grace Ethington, has been selected as the SVLL Softball Player of the Week after impressive performances for the Panthers against the Falls Diamonds and Redmond Heat. Grace shinned in the circle, striking out eight in three innings of work, while also hitting 2-for-2 with a double and three stolen bases.

Week 2

AA player, Kevin Ellis, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Bowling Green Hot Rods to a 21-20 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm. Kevin went 6-for-6 from the plate with 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. Kevin is perfect at the plate this season, going 11-for-11 in two games.

Week 3

Coast player, Nick Garwood, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 12-11 victory over the Chicago White Sox during Spring Break. Nick went 2-for-2 from the plate, including two walks and a three-run home run.

Week 4

Major player, Jackson Crumb, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week. Jackson pitched in three games for the Kansas City Royals and struck out 8 batters in 4.2 innings of work. Jackson held opponents to just 3 earned runs and picked up a save against the Falls Red Sox. Jackson also had solid performances at the plate, going 3-for-7 with 5 runs scored and a pair of RBI.

Coast player, Mia Spaziano, has been selected as the SVLL Softball Player of the Week. Mia led the Panthers to a 12-10 victory over the Falls Pride and a 9-9 tie against SVLL's Rampage. She went 4-for-5 with four RBI and 3 runs scored. Mia wreaked havoc on the bases paths for Panther opponents- picking up 10 stolen bases in the two games.

Week 5

Coast player, Aidan Adams, has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week. Aidan had a strong performance for the Milwaukee Brewers on the mound, tossing two shutout innings in less than 30 pitches against the SVN Mariners. He followed up that performance with solid defense against the SVN Bluejays, catching two line drives to left field to preserve the victory.

AAA player, Molly Moore, has been selected as the SVLL Softball Player of the Week. Molly led the Blue Jays to a 9-2 victory over the Redmond Blast with a 2-for-2 performance at the plate, including a triple and 4 RBI.

Week 6

Majors player, Zach Loya, and Coast player, Ryan Rosen, have been selected as the Co-SVLL Players of the Week.

Zach was instrumental in the Cincinnati Red's win over the top team in the standings- the Falls Cubs- going 2-for-3 with a double, triple and 3 RBI. He also made an impact on defense, making two diving stops to throw out runners to preserve the 8-7 victory. On the week, Loya was 5-for-7, including a home run and 6 RBI.

Ryan led the Milwaukee Brewers to a pair of victories last week with standout performances on offense and defense. He went 1-for-3 against the SVN Blue Jays, blasting a home run and scoring again on a walk-steal-error-error combination on the same play. Ryan made an unassisted double play at first base before earning the save on the mound by making the final two outs to first base.

Ryan also helped the Brewers pick up a win over the SVLL Oakland A's, going 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored. On the mound, Ryan pitched 4 complete innings (59 pitches), holding the A's to just 3 runs and striking out six en route to the 9-7 victory.

Week 7

Majors player, Daniel Yurkanin, and AAA player, Brooks Kokenge, have been selected as the Co-SVLL Baseball Players of the Week.

Daniel led the Kansas City Royals to the 3-2 win over the Falls Dodgers with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate with 2 RBI, including the game winner. He also played well against the Falls Phillies, pitching 4 innings and giving up no earned runs while driving in two runs and scoring the game winner. For the week, Daniel was 4-for-6 with a 0.778 on-base percentage and 4 RBI. He pitched 6 innings and didn't allow an earned run.

Brooks led the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to victory with a bases clearing double that proved to be the game winner against the SVN Hot Rods. He came in to close the game and struck out the side. In addition, Brooks drew two walks, picked up two stolen bases and scored three runs in the 15-10 win.

Week 8

Coast players, Lexi Yingst and Vera Harrison, have been selected as the Co-SVLL Softball Players of the Week after impressive performances for the Rampage.

Lexi pitched three innings against the SVLL Panthers and recorded six strikeouts. She also went 3-for-3 with a double and stole home twice.

Vera had a big bat last week, blasting three home runs over two games, including one against the Panthers and two against the SVN Bulldogs.

Week 9

Eyelan Vincent has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after an impressive offensive performance for the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Eyelan went 8-for-10, including a home run and a pair of triples. He also scored two runs and collected 4 RBI to help the Hot Rods extend their season in the AA Championship Tournament.

Week 10

AAA's Sawyer "Sweaty" Szwedko has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week. Sawyer was fierce on the mound for the Rubber Ducks, tossing three complete innings of strikeouts and allowing no runs vs. the Timber Rattlers in the SVLL AAA Championship semifinal. His performance was instrumental in helping the team eventually win the league Championship title on Saturday.

Week 11

Daniel Yurkanin has been selected as the SVLL Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Majors Royals to a second place finish in the Valley Championship Tournament. Daniel went 8-for-9 at the plate and picked up the game-winning hit in the semifinal game. He had an incredible .741 on-base percentage over 7 tournament games and pitched 5 1/3 innings, while only giving up three earned runs.
